HMRP has adopted various approaches in implementing its activities at field level. Community Based Seed Production (CBSP) is one of the successful approaches adopted to produce improved maize seed at community level. Similarly, maize variety development, research and development activities (participatory variety selection, informal research and development, intercropping trials), small infrastructure support to CBSPs and partners, and providing seed revolving are other successful activities fo the HMRP.
